The Bottesini Competition, founded in 1989 at the initiative of Maestro Franco Petracchi, is today one of the leading international events dedicated to the double bass. Since 2016, it has been organized by the Bottesini Association of Crema, with Francesco Donati as General Director and Enrico Fagone as Artistic Director.
